India’s air cargo sector is going through a period of genuine change. The growth of e-commerce, wider participation in global trade and a deepening domestic supply chain base have moved air cargo from a supporting function to a segment that now warrants attention in its own right.

10 million tonnes a year is, at its core, an infrastructure question. Volume of that order calls for terminals, apron capacity, truck docks, temperature-controlled storage and warehousing within a short drive of the airfield, commissioned in step with one another rather than in isolation.
