Our Latest Insight
India’s cold chain sector is entering a phase where infrastructure alone is no longer enough. Rising demand for fresh and temperature-sensitive products, expanding food processing, pharmaceuticals and organised retail are creating the need for a cold chain that is more connected, reliable and responsive across the supply chain.
Unlocking the next phase of growth will require more than adding cold storage capacity. It calls for stronger integration across storage, transportation, distribution, technology and end markets, with infrastructure planned around actual supply chains rather than as standalone assets.
This paper provides views to initiate thinking and discussion on how India can move from building cold chain infrastructure to creating an integrated ecosystem that supports efficiency, reduces losses and enables the next phase of growth.
